Natural Resources Management in Light of Islamic Jurisprudence and the Maqasid Sharia

Natural resource management is a key concern in the modern era due to increasing challenges in balancing resource use and sustainability. This study explores effective management foundations from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence and the objectives of Sharia by analyzing Islamic economic principles and relevant jurisprudential rules. Using a descriptive analytical approach based on the Qur’an, Hadith, and scholarly literature, the results indicate that natural resource management in Islam is based on the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and the objectives of Sharia, which ensures that human behavior is consistent with Islamic teachings. The study highlights the importance of these principles in promoting the concepts of sustainability, regulating human behavior, and ensuring the protection of resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
